Favourite species
I dont honestly have a current favourite,i enjoy fishing for
whatever species I am targetting on the specific day I go,
I think I am becoming more "seasonal" with my species
choice than ever though!!
Favourite bait
I fish using a wide variety of methods,on diverse venues,
at various times of the year, so I could not possibly commit
myself to one specific bait, but I would add that whatever
the bait I use, be it manufactured or natural, it must be
of the highest quality & fresh!
Favourite method
I enjoy all methods of catching fish,but recently I have aquired
a boat for fishing from, this has added a further dimension
to my angling and has swiftly become my favourite way to fish
so any method that I could fish from my boat would be my favourite!
Favourite venue
Any river!! since first taking on the challenge of running
water for the first time on my then local Warwickshire Avon,
I guess I have become most synonymous with that venue! but
I also enjoy the challenge the canal networks provide (Ii
have a fantastic underfished and very scenic canal on my doorstep
- the Ashby Canal) and pit/lake fishing is a neccesity for
species like catfish.
Angling highlights
I first got involved with angling journalism in 1999 when
I got an article published in the Anglers Mail magazine,and
this experience proved positive as i was soon producing my
own regular articles for Coarse Fisherman, Midland Angler
and TCF titles, Midland Angler magazine ran a specialist fishing
match, which Ii first qualified for in 2004, won in 2005 and
became joint winner in 2006.
I have been privilidged to meet plenty of
like-minded anglers,many have become good friends to share
many great times fishing in wonderous english countryside.
